3 Big Trades Heading Into 2026

Right now, as of November 3rd, 2025, there are a bunch of good ideas in the market. Capital allocation is everything. If you have the capital and manage it well (and avoid using it elsewhere), you’re probably going to have a great 6–12 months moving forward.

$MRNA long just makes sense. It has been in discussions with at least one large pharmaceutical company about “a deal of significant scope,” which could include a potential acquisition. The company has a market capitalization of 9.86 billion, an enterprise value of 3.11 billion, and 6.76 billion in cash with only 741 million in debt. Additionally, it’s a well-known company that has been around for years, and if you believe the market is potentially “topping out” in the next few months, parking some money in a quality biotech name with a strong balance sheet and real cash flow potential isn’t the worst idea.

$NVDA short is the next best idea in the market that I see. They just passed 5 trillion in market capitalization, which is now greater than the GDP of every country in the world except the U.S. and China! The reality is, the asymmetry of being long $NVDA really just doesn’t make sense. Even my wealth manager friend Joey, who works with huge tech clients, is arguing the same point. As a result, I think $NVDA is a short here and likely pulls back 10–30% over the next couple of years.

Finally, we have the short on $IONQ. Quantum computing is 10 years away from being anything meaningful. $IONQ’s current market cap is 20.47 billion with 52 million in revenue over the last 12 months. They make essentially no money, and their market cap relative to their revenue just makes no sense. Being short $IONQ and many of the other quantum computing names around here is a quality bigger picture trade in my opinion. Many of these names will be complete zeroes over the next 3–5 years, and a name like $IONQ might just have a market cap of a few million to maybe a couple hundred million, but over 20 billion is absolutely absurd!

To me, these are the three best ideas in the market right now. The goal is to plant seeds now that might pay off in the next 3–12 months.
