About

Bookmap is an order-flow trading platform that visualizes market liquidity on a heatmap so you can see historical and live limit-order book activity that candlestick charts hide. The product renders depth evolution at high frame rates, with volume dots/clustering, time & sales, DOM tools, and add-on indicators for absorption, imbalances, large lots, stops/icebergs (via Marketplace), and more.

Traders use Bookmap to judge where size sits, when liquidity pulls, and when it actually trades — across crypto (including a free Digital tier), and paid Global tiers for stocks/futures connectivity via providers such as BookmapData, dxFeed, and Rithmic. Record/replay, multi-symbol heatmaps, and chart/DOM trading (where supported) turn it into both a live decision tool and a post-session review engine.

Important: core software subscriptions generally do not include exchange market data. After you pick Digital+/Global/Global+, you still subscribe to data through BookmapData, dxFeed, Rithmic, or exchange connections — budget for that separately or the platform will feel empty. Bookmap’s packages pages publish example data ranges so you can estimate total cost of ownership before you commit to Global+.

If you have never read a heatmap, start on Digital Free with crypto or delayed data and use replay until you can explain why liquidity appeared and vanished. Paying for Global without literacy usually produces expensive screenshots, not edge.

Key features

  • Liquidity heatmap: historical + real-time depth visualization for reading trusted price levels.
  • Volume visualization: volume dots/bars, BBO, delta columns, T&S filters.
  • Multi-symbol capacity: up to 1 / 3 / 10 / 20 symbols viewable at once by plan (Digital → Global+).
  • Record & replay: study prior sessions with full depth context (tier features vary).
  • Trading from chart/DOM: crypto trading widely available; stocks/futures trading depends on broker connectivity and plan.
  • Advanced add-ons: CVD, large trades, liquidation, imbalance, strength/absorption indicators, etc., with many unlocked on higher tiers; Marketplace plugins sold separately.

Plans/pricing

From Bookmap’s live signup pricing (USD; software only — data extra):

  • Digital (Free): $0 — real-time crypto connections; delayed U.S. stocks & futures; 1 symbol; limited backfill.
  • Digital Plus: $19/month or $195/year.
  • Global: $49/month or $468/year; lifetime $990.
  • Global Plus: $99/month or $948/year; lifetime $1,990.
  • Brazil Premium: $50/month (regional).

Packages comparison also lists third-party data ranges (examples): BookmapData roughly $34–$79/mo depending on connections; dxFeed futures about $37/mo per exchange and U.S. equities about $34–$119/mo; Rithmic about $40–$101/mo. Confirm exact data SKUs after subscribe. Lifetime licenses trade higher upfront cost for no recurring software fee — data still renews.

Total cost of ownership is software + data + optional Marketplace add-ons. Price the full stack for the exchanges you trade before choosing Global vs Global+, and use replay on a cheaper tier first if you are still learning to read liquidity pulls versus real resting size.

Who it's for

Futures and equities scalpers/day traders who read order flow, prop traders who want heatmap context, and crypto traders who can start on Digital free. Also useful for traders who journal with replay instead of guessing why a stop ran. Less ideal if you only swing trade daily candles and never look at depth.

Limitations

  • Market data fees are separate and can exceed the software subscription.
  • Steep learning curve — heatmap literacy takes deliberate replay practice.
  • No full mobile trading app experience comparable to the desktop platform.
  • Advanced trackers and some Marketplace tools cost extra or require Global/Global+.
  • More symbols and brighter heatmaps do not create edge without a rules-based playbook.
